Job Vacancy – Quantity Surveyor (QS)

Santy Excavation & Construction Company W.L.L. is looking for an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Bahrain.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and cost estimates for civil, excavation, earthworks, infrastructure, and marine projects.

• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

• Monitor project costs, budgets, and equipment utilization to ensure cost efficiency.

• Prepare tender pricing, cost analysis, and project estimates.

• Measure work progress and prepare interim payment applications and client invoices.

• Evaluate subcontractor quotations, prepare subcontract agreements, verify completed work, and certify payment applications.

• Prepare and manage variation orders, claims, and final accounts.

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and the Procurement team to ensure effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

• Prepare regular cost reports and provide recommendations to improve project profitability.

• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, technical specifications, and company procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.

• Experience in excavation, earthworks, infrastructure, roadworks, or marine projects is highly preferred.

• Good knowledge of contract administration and cost control.

• Experience with BOQs, tendering, variation claims, and final accounts.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.

• Experience with CostX, PlanSwift, CCS Candy, or equivalent quantity surveying software is an advantage.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Must currently be based in Bahrain and available to join immediately or within a short notice period.
