Finishing engineer

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision

* Supervise all finishing activities on site.

* Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.

* Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors and supervisors.

* Monitor manpower, materials, and equipment.

2. Quality Control

* Inspect completed work for compliance with project quality standards.

* Ensure proper workmanship for all finishes.

* Coordinate inspections with the QA/QC team.

* Rectify defects and ensure punch-list items are closed.

3. Planning and Scheduling

* Prepare weekly and daily work plans.

* Monitor progress against the project schedule.

* Identify delays and implement corrective actions.

* Coordinate sequencing of finishing activities.

4. Material Management

* Review and approve finishing material requirements.

* Verify delivered materials match approved submittals.

* Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.

* Coordinate with procurement for timely delivery.

5. Coordination

* Coordinate with civil, MEP, and architectural teams.

* Resolve conflicts between different trades.

* Attend coordination and progress meetings.

* Ensure work fronts are ready before finishing begins.

6. Drawing Review

* Review IFC drawings and shop drawings.

* Raise RFIs for unclear details.

* Ensure the latest approved drawings are used on site.

* Verify dimensions before installation.

7. Health and Safety

* Ensure compliance with site HSE procedures.

* Conduct toolbox talks with workers.

* Identify and report unsafe conditions.

* Ensure PPE is properly used.

8. Documentation

* Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.

* Maintain inspection records.

* Record material usage and work progress.

* Prepare snag lists and monitor their closure

Salary – 4000-5000 SR

Transferable after 3 months probation
