Master Tailor – Laya House of Fashion

Laya House of Fashion is looking for an experienced Master Tailor with exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail to join our growing luxury fashion house. We specialize in elegant women’s wear inspired by Emirati heritage, combining timeless design with premium quality.

Key Responsibilities

* Construct high-end women’s garments from patterns and technical specifications.
* Perform precise cutting, stitching, fitting, and finishing.
* Execute complex alterations and adjustments to achieve a flawless fit.
* Work with luxury fabrics such as silk, crepe, chiffon, linen, and embellished textiles.
* Ensure every garment meets Laya’s premium quality standards.
* Collaborate with the designer during fittings and sample development.
* Train and guide junior tailors when required.
* Maintain an organized and efficient workspace.

Requirements

* Minimum 7–10 years of experience as a Master Tailor, preferably in luxury women’s fashion or couture.
* Expert knowledge of garment construction and finishing techniques.
* Ability to produce samples from sketches or reference garments.
* Experience in bridal, evening wear, abayas, kaftans, or luxury dresses is an advantage.
* Strong understanding of pattern adjustments and garment fitting.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
