Position: Mechanical Engineer – HVAC/VRF Systems

About the Role

DAD Al Arab Contracting Co., an established HVAC/MEP contractor operating across the Asir and Riyadh regions, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead site execution on an LG VRF system installation project in Abha. This is a hands-on site role requiring strong technical ownership of drawings, coordination, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise on-site installation of LG VRF systems from mobilization to handover

Prepare and update HVAC design drawings and as-built drawings

Coordinate with client/consultant engineers, subcontractors, and site labor teams

Ensure installation complies with LG VRF technical specifications, ASHRAE/SMACNA standards, and project scope

Conduct site measurements, quantity verification, and progress reporting

Resolve technical site issues and support commissioning/testing

Liaise with Arabic-speaking clients, consultants, and government inspectors as needed

Required Qualifications

BSc in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent recognized degree)

Minimum 5 years of hands-on HVAC site experience (VRF/VRV system experience strongly preferred, LG experience a plus)

Demonstrated ability to produce HVAC design and as-built drawings independently (AutoCAD required)

Arabic language proficiency — average speaking and reading required (site coordination with Arabic-speaking stakeholders)

Iqama must be transferable, OR available to work on a contract/freelance (Ajeer/Qiwa contract) basis

Strong understanding of VRF piping, refrigerant line sizing, ductwork, and controls

Preferred

Prior experience with LG Multi V systems specifically

Saudi driving license

Experience working on commercial/industrial projects in the Asir or Riyadh region
