Job description:

Are you a data-driven problem solver with a passion for linear programming and advanced analytics? We are seeking a Lead Strategy & Optimization Consultant to join us on a remote, flexible basis (full-time or part-time) to optimize our sales commission structure and other strategic business processes. Your role will be pivotal in helping us make data-informed decisions, ensuring that profitability, margin, and long-term sustainability are balanced.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect & Maintain Optimization Models

• Develop and refine comprehensive linear programming solutions (using tools like Excel Solver, Python libraries such as PuLP/Pyomo, or other LP solvers) for complex commission and profitability challenges.

• Collaborate & Lead

• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to gather requirements, test solutions, and embed optimization best practices throughout the organization.

• Scenario Analysis & Reporting

• Conduct multi-scenario simulations based on real-world data. Present insights clearly to stakeholders, highlighting trade-offs in commission, margin, and profit.

• Continuous Improvement

• Identify new areas for optimization across the business, proposing and implementing improvements. Provide mentorship and training to team members on linear programming techniques.

Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise: Strong background in linear programming, optimization theory, and data analytics.

• Analytical Mindset: Proven track record of solving complex business problems using advanced models.

• Communication Skills: Capable of conveying intricate solutions in a straightforward manner to non-technical teams.

• Leadership: Experience in guiding cross-functional projects or teams, preferably in an analytics or operations strategy context.
