Mechanical Technician (Dam Operation & Maintenance)

A leading company in dam operation and maintenance is seeking qualified candidates for the position of:

Mechanical Technician

Job Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment and dam facilities.

Inspect, operate, and maintain dam gates, hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and associated mechanical equipment.

Carry out routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical faults.

Perform lubrication, alignment, and replacement of worn components.

Support the operation and maintenance of standby generators and auxiliary equipment.

Participate in emergency response activities during heavy rainfall and flood events.

Prepare maintenance records and reports while ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

Requirements:

Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.

Experience in dams, water infrastructure, pumping stations, hydraulic systems, or heavy industrial facilities is preferred.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in field conditions and emergency situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with hydraulic gates, pumps, valves, generators, and mechanical lifting equipment.

Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Familiarity with occupational health and safety standards.

Teamwork and effective communication skills.
