A North Indian Men’s Tailor, often specializing in bespoke and traditional menswear, is a highly skilled artisan responsible for designing, cutting, stitching, and altering garments such as sherwanis, kurta-pajamas, bandhgalas, suits, and trousers. They combine traditional Indian tailoring techniques with modern styling to deliver custom-fit apparel, frequently for wedding and festive wear.

Key Job Responsibilities

Customer Consultation: Meeting with clients to understand their style preferences, selecting fabrics (silk, brocade, linen, suit fabrics), and advising on designs for occasions.

Measurement & Pattern Drafting: Taking precise body measurements and drafting patterns from scratch for a custom, bespoke fit.

Cutting & Fabric Handling: Accurately cutting fabric, including handling delicate materials, silk, and heavy embroidery.

Stitching & Construction: Sewing garments using both industrial sewing machines and hand-stitching techniques. This includes constructing structured items like shoulder pads and canvas lining in jackets.

Traditional & Modern Wear: Specializing in, but not limited to, Sherwani, Kurta-Pajama, Achkan, Nehru Jackets, Jodhpuri suits (Bandhgala), and modern trousers.

Alterations & Finishing: Performing adjustments for a perfect fit, repairing garments, and completing final touches such as ironing, fixing buttons, and hand-finishing hems.

Quality Control: Ensuring high-quality standards for stitching and overall garment finish.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience as a Tailor (often 2 to 5+ years) specializing in men’s apparel.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in drafting patterns, cutting fabric, and operating industrial sewing machines.

Fabric Knowledge: Deep understanding of different types of fabric and how they drape and behave.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to measurements, alignment, and final finishing.

Customer Service: Good communication skills for client consultations.

Cultural Knowledge: Understanding of North Indian ethnic wear styles and trends.

11 Hours Duty.

Weekly half day off.

Salary BHD150.000
