Experience : Minimum 4 – 5 years of experience in the field of hospitality

The key duties and responsibilities of an accountant are typically grouped into these main areas:

1. Financial Recording and Bookkeeping Record Transactions: Log all daily financial transactions, expenses, and revenues.

Maintain the General Ledger: Keep accurate records of all company accounts. Reconcile Accounts: Match and verify bank statements, credit card accounts, and petty cash to eliminate discrepancies.

2. Financial Reporting and Analysis Prepare Financial Statements: Draft key documents like the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement. Financial Forecasting: Project future revenues and expenses to aid long-term business planning. Budgeting: Collaborate with management to create and monitor departmental or company-wide budgets.

3. Taxation and Compliance Tax Preparation: Calculate corporate taxes and prepare/file accurate tax returns. Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all financial practices comply with local laws and standardized accounting rules.

4. Auditing and Internal Controls Internal Audits: Review internal financial processes for fraud prevention, accuracy, and operational efficiency. External Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and work with external auditors during annual reviews.

5. Day-to-Day Operations Manage Accounts Payable/Receivable: Monitor invoices, process payroll, and ensure clients and vendors are paid accurately and on time
