The Dental Assistant Nurse provides chair-side assistance to dentists during various dental procedures while ensuring compliance with infection control, patient safety, and National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) standards. The role supports efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care in a professional dental setting.

Key Responsibilities

Assist dentists during clinical, restorative, and surgical procedures

Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment

Follow NHRA infection control and safety regulations

Maintain cleanliness and readiness of treatment rooms

Prepare patients before procedures and provide post-treatment guidance

Monitor and manage dental materials and clinic supplies

Assist with dental X-rays when authorized and certified

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Support during dental emergencies when required

Ensure proper biomedical waste handling and disposal

Coordinate patient flow and assist with appointments when needed

Adhere to clinic policies, safety procedures, and professional standards

Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of dental assisting and chair-side procedures

Strong infection control and sterilization practices

Good communication and patient care skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment

Attention to detail and hygiene standards

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Dental Assisting

Valid NHRA License (Mandatory)

Minimum 2–4 years of dental clinic or hospital experience

Experience assisting in dental procedures preferred

Additional Requirements

Immediate joining preferred

Willingness to work split/break shifts as per clinic requirements

Patient-focused and adaptable approach to work
