Academic

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Master’s degree in technical is preferable

Experience

Candidate should have.

Proven experience as Procurement Engineer

Having similar experience more than 5 years preferable. Must have GCC experience

Job Responsibility/

Description

Analyse all suppliers to select the most suitable suppliers who can deliver high quality products at competitive pricing.

Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost, and quality to obtain the maximum benefit for the company.

Manage suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule, and quality.

Develop purchasing or sourcing strategies based on portfolio analyses and supplier preferencing study.

Define and maintain documented category and supplier strategies using market and competitive data.

Liaise with suppliers on delivery schedule to ensure on-time deliveries of final product.

Develop, implement, and drive the procurement strategies to meet cost savings targets.

Review and manage the supplier base to ensure consistency with the sourcing strategy.

Perform regular performance review with suppliers to drive continuous improvements.

Create monthly performance reviews and reports focusing on overall sourcing requirements.

Ensure commercial, legal, and contractual compliances in all the procurement transactions.

Adopt appropriate supplier management methodologies and procurement strategies in purchasing to secure better prices.

Train team on effective procurement processes and strategy.

Coordinate with vendor on continuous quality improvement.

Revise inventory control reports regularly, take over items which reached order limit, measure the quantities need to be purchased according to needs plan to ensure the running of the work, prepare necessary requisitions, and undertake it to meet necessary needs and cover any shortfalls.

Develop viable, cost-effective, and strategic procurement strategies.

Communicate the value of strategic sourcing and procurement to key Vendors.

Develop and maintain relationships with Vendors.

Work with key procurement software and systems

Evaluate existing procurement policies and procedures and update accordingly.

Evaluate and select chosen suppliers using a set criterion such as quality, price, delivery, and sustainability.

Attend trade shows, interview vendors, and visit supply plants/distribution centres.

Negotiating various contracts with vendors on quality, price, and delivery

Analyse and complete financial reports and pricing proposals

Keep track of all goods and services ordered and received with a comprehensive inventory.

Ensure responsible procurement practises are being met and comply with company objectives.

Creation of purchase orders

Calculate all order costs and evaluate invoices for accuracy.

Prepare and update reports, records, and pricing lists.

Work with other teams for cross-departmental work

Generate the daily/weekly/Monthly report analysing the budget saved by procuring the low-price goods matching the technical aspect of the project requirement

Managing and updating the supplied master data with the suitable potential vendors who can deliver the material on short span of delivery time with less cost
