JOB VACANCY – MECHANICAL QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Khawas Al Holol Co. for Contracting is looking for one qualified Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-off from mechanical drawings, specifications, BOQ, and project documents.

• Prepare and review BOQ, cost estimates, comparison sheets, payment applications, and progress claims.

• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations and support commercial evaluation and procurement coordination.

• Prepare variation orders, additional work claims, rate analysis, and supporting documents.

• Coordinate with mechanical engineers, site teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and project management.

• Monitor project quantities, material usage, project cost, and contractual/commercial records.

• Prepare measurement sheets, quantity backup documents, and progress reports for mechanical works.

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Good knowledge of mechanical works, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, chilled water systems, ducting, piping, valves, pumps, equipment, insulation, and related accessories.

• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, shop drawings, specifications, BOQ, and scope documents accurately.

• Strong skills in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, quantity take-off, costing, estimation, and measurement sheets.

• Good understanding of variation claims, project cost control, procurement support, and commercial documentation.

• Ability to review supplier/subcontractor quotations and compare prices, scope, exclusions, and technical requirements.

• Strong communication, reporting, coordination, and deadline management skills.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical QS works within contracting or construction projects.

• Must be currently available in Saudi Arabia.

• Transferable Iqama and immediate joining are preferred.
