Job Title: GMAW Welder

Department: Production

Location: Al-Qahtani PCK Pipe Factory – 2nd Industrial City, Dammam, Saudi Arabia

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Job Summary:

The GMAW Welder is responsible for performing welding operations using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW / MIG Welding) as part of the production process for **LSAW (Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welded) pipe manufacturing. The role ensures welding activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved quality standards and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform welding activities using GMAW welding processes according to approved welding procedures and specifications (WPS).

Operate and set up welding machines and related equipment required for pipe production operations.

Execute welding work on pipe sections, steel components, and production assemblies during manufacturing stages.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and production instructions.

Conduct visual inspection of welds and ensure compliance with quality standards and technical specifications.

Support production targets by maintaining welding efficiency and minimizing production delays.

Coordinate with Production, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

Follow all company HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

Report welding defects, equipment malfunctions, or operational issues to the supervisor immediately.

Maintain workplace cleanliness and ensure proper handling of welding tools and materials.

Perform additional production-related duties as assigned by management when required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Technical diploma or vocational certification in Welding or related field is preferred.

Minimum experience in GMAW / MIG welding operations within industrial or manufacturing environments.

Previous experience in steel pipe manufacturing, LSAW pipe production, or heavy industry is highly preferred.

Good understanding of welding procedures, welding parameters, and fabrication standards.

Ability to read technical drawings and welding instructions.

Knowledge of quality requirements related to industrial welding operations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while meeting operational deadlines.
