Roles and Responsibilities – PVC Project Salesman
1. Project Sales & Business Development
Identify new PVC pipe, fittings, and related project opportunities in the market.
Develop relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, government entities, and utility companies.
Visit project sites regularly and collect project information, requirements, and timelines.
Generate new leads and convert opportunities into sales.
2. Customer Handling
Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
Understand customer technical requirements and provide suitable product solutions.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and follow-up activities.
Coordinate with customers for approvals, samples, and technical clarifications.
3. Quotation & Sales Coordination
Prepare and submit quotations based on project specifications and customer requirements.
Coordinate with the estimation, production, and management teams for pricing and delivery schedules.
Follow up on submitted quotations and negotiate commercial terms.
Monitor competitor prices and market trends.
4. Project Tracking
Monitor ongoing and upcoming projects related to PVC pipes and fittings.
Maintain a project pipeline report with status updates.
Track approvals, material requirements, tender information, and expected order dates.
Coordinate with project teams until completion of supply.
5. Technical Support
Understand PVC pipe standards, specifications, and applications.
Provide basic technical support regarding product selection, installation, and compliance requirements.
Coordinate with QA/QC and engineering teams for technical documents, test certificates, and approvals.
6. Sales Target Achievement
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Prepare sales plans and visit schedules.
Maintain customer database and sales records.
Report sales activities, market feedback, and opportunities to management.
7. Order & Delivery Coordination
Coordinate with customers after receiving purchase orders.
Ensure smooth communication between customer, production, and logistics teams.
Follow up on delivery schedules and payment collections.
8. Payment Follow-up
Monitor customer outstanding payments.
Coordinate with finance department for collection follow-up.
Ensure payments are received as per agreed terms.
9. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare daily/weekly sales reports.
Maintain records of quotations, customer visits, project details, and order status.
Submit market feedback and competitor information.
10. Professional Skills Required
Knowledge of PVC pipes, fittings, and construction/project sales.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to read project specifications and BOQ.
Customer-focused approach.
Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
