We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Chemist to lead the formulation, development, quality control, and production support of our cleaning and hygiene product manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and manufacturing household and industrial cleaning products while ensuring compliance with Saudi regulatory requirements and international quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and optimize formulations for cleaning and hygiene products.

Conduct research and development activities to improve product performance and cost efficiency.

Establish manufacturing processes, production parameters, and quality standards.

Select and evaluate raw materials, fragrances, preservatives, surfactants, and specialty chemicals.

Develop product specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Conduct laboratory testing, stability studies, compatibility testing, and performance evaluations.

Lead quality control activities for raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.

Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Prepare technical documentation, product dossiers, specifications, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Support product registration and regulatory approval processes.

Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and product non-conformities.

Train production and laboratory personnel on manufacturing and quality procedures.

Collaborate with management to establish and improve manufacturing operations.

Support factory setup, equipment selection, and production line commissioning.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5–10 years of experience in cleaning chemicals, detergents, disinfectants, or personal care product manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of surfactants, solvents, preservatives, fragrances, and specialty chemical ingredients.

Experience in product formulation, quality control, and industrial production.

Knowledge of GMP, ISO 9001, quality management systems, and laboratory practices.

Experience with regulatory compliance and product registration within Saudi Arabia is highly preferred.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
