The Document Controller maintains the company’s document management systems, ensuring that all project and corporate documents are accurately controlled, distributed, and archived.
This role is critical to contractual compliance, audit readiness, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the receipt, distribution, filing, and archiving of all project documentation.
• Ensure transmittal of drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and correspondence.
• Maintain document registers and track revisions, approvals, and response deadlines.
• Manage and maintain the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
• Train project and office staff on document control procedures and system use.
• Liaise with clients and consultants on document submission and approval workflows.
• Ensure document control compliance with ISO standards and contract requirements.
• Support audits and project close-out by providing organized, accurate document records.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, or Information Management.
• Minimum 5 years of document control experience on construction projects.
• Proficient in EDMS platforms (Aconex, Procore, SharePoint, or equivalent).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
