Job Opportunity – R&D Specialist (Research & Development)

Location: Jeddah

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Product Development: Develop and follow up on new products from the ideation stage through to commercial launch.

• Supplier Sourcing: Search for, contact, and manage relationships with local and international suppliers and manufacturers.

• Technical Specifications: Prepare and review technical specifications for both finished products and raw materials.

• Financial Analysis: Analyze pricing and costs, and prepare comparative reports and feasibility studies.

• Commercial Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing, payment terms, and commercial conditions.

• Sampling & Testing: Monitor product sampling, conduct sensory evaluations, and handle final product approvals.

• Project Coordination: Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure project execution aligns with set timelines.

• Performance Tracking: Monitor product performance across branches, analyzing sales data and turnover rates.

• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and propose supply chain and reordering plans.

• Quality Assurance: Monitor product quality and resolve any operational or developmental issues.

• Market Research: Study the market and competitors to identify and propose new product development opportunities.

• Reporting: Prepare periodic reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to product performance.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with various departments to ensure successful product launches and achieve commercial targets.

Requirements:

• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Proven ability to analyze data and prepare reports.

• Excellent organizational, project management, and follow-up skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Preferred: Prior experience in product development, procurement, supply chain, or the F&B (Food & Beverage) and FMCG sectors.
