### Purchasing Officer – Non-Food & Household Products Division

A leading company operating in the **hypermarket and discount store sector** in **Hail City, Saudi Arabia**, is seeking a qualified and experienced **Purchasing Officer** specialized in **non-food product procurement, supplier sourcing, category development, and retail purchasing operations**.

The ideal candidate must have practical experience in purchasing fast-moving, economical, and high-demand non-food products suitable for the Saudi retail market, especially for hypermarkets, supermarkets, discount stores, and variety retail formats.

## Required Experience

Candidates must have relevant experience in one or more of the following retail sectors:

* Discount stores, including SAR 5 / SAR 10 concept stores

* Household and variety stores

* Toys, stationery, and kids’ products

* Small electronics and mobile accessories

* Cleaning products and disposable plastic items

* Home décor, household items, and furnishing products

* Fast-moving non-food consumer goods

* Hypermarkets, supermarkets, or multi-branch retail chains

## Product Categories

The selected candidate will be responsible for sourcing and managing products across the following categories:

* Household items

* Home décor and furnishings

* Home furniture

* Stationery and office supplies

* Toys and kids’ products

* Small electronics

* Plastic and disposable products

* Cleaning materials

* Perfumes and accessories

* General non-food FMCG products

* Value, budget, and fast-moving retail merchandise

## Key Responsibilities

The Purchasing Officer will be responsible for the following duties:

* Identify, source, and develop non-food products suitable for the Saudi market.

* Manage purchasing activities, supplier selection, price negotiation, and product sourcing.

* Source economical, high-demand, fast-moving, and value-based products for retail sales.

* Develop and maintain a competitive product assortment aligned with customer demand and branch requirements.

* Coordinate with branch teams to ensure proper product display, merchandising, and category presentation.

* Monitor stock movement, inventory levels, product performance, and sales trends.

* Support category development, product range expansion, and supplier performance improvement.

* Maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.

* Ensure timely product availability while avoiding overstocking, slow-moving inventory, and unnecessary stock accumulation.

* Analyze market trends, customer preferences, competitor pricing, and seasonal demand.

* Support purchasing operations for multiple branches in a structured and cost-effective manner.

* Direct importing experience from China will be considered a strong advantage.

## Candidate Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

* Minimum **5 years of proven experience** in non-food purchasing and retail procurement.

* Previous experience in hypermarkets, supermarkets, discount stores, or retail chain operations.

* Strong knowledge of value products, low-cost merchandise, and fast-moving non-food categories.

* Ability to handle purchasing requirements for multiple branches.

* Good understanding of supplier negotiation, product costing, retail pricing, and margin control.

* Strong market awareness and practical product sourcing capability.

* Ability to identify profitable, high-demand, and customer-attractive products.

* Good coordination skills with suppliers, warehouse teams, branch teams, and management.

* Candidates without direct non-food procurement and retail purchasing experience will not be considered.

## Salary & Benefits

**Salary Range:** SAR 5,000 – SAR 6,000 per month

Additional incentives, bonuses, and commission may be provided based on the candidate’s experience, performance, and contribution to business growth.
