Experienced Car Painter from India

A car painter (or automotive paint technician) is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing vehicle surfaces. They restore damaged panels, match factory colors, and apply protective coatings using spray equipment to ensure a flawless, durable, and aesthetically pleasing finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Sand, prime, and mask vehicles to create a smooth surface and protect areas that do not require painting.

• Color Matching & Mixing: Utilize computerized mixing technology and manufacturer codes to accurately match existing vehicle colors or create custom paint finishes.

• Paint Application: Operate spray guns and airless/HVLP systems to apply base coats, clear coats, and corrosion-inhibiting primers evenly.

• Quality Assurance: Inspect vehicles for flaws (runs, texture issues, color inconsistencies) and correct them promptly.

• Detailing & Finishing: Sand between coats, buff, and polish the finished paintwork to achieve a high-gloss, professional appearance.

• Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain spray equipment, sanders, and ventilation systems to keep the paint booth and tools in optimal working condition.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations by using proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling hazardous chemicals safely.

Core Skills & Requirements

• Manual Dexterity: Steady hands and physical stamina to operate spray equipment and maneuver around vehicles for extended periods.

• Color Perception: A strong eye for detail and the ability to detect subtle differences in shades and hues.

• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with various paint types, solvents, primers, and drying/curing processes.

• Qualifications: A high school diploma, vocational certifications in auto collision repair, or recognized trade apprenticeships.

• Duty: 8 to 10 Hours.

• Weekly one day off.

• Salary based on experience (BHD140.000 to 170.000)

• Benefits: Often includes accommodation, transport and visa provided by the company.
