A house maid is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized household environment. Core duties include cleaning rooms (dusting, vacuuming, mopping), cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, laundering and ironing clothes, changing linens, and occasionally running errands or assisting with meal preparation. Reliability, attention to detail, and discretion are essential.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Cleaning: Thoroughly cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming all areas of the home, including bathrooms and kitchens.

Laundry & Linens: Washing, drying, ironing, folding clothes, and changing bed linens and towels.

Organization: Keeping rooms, closets, and common areas tidy, organized, and free of clutter.

Kitchen Maintenance: Washing dishes, cleaning appliances, wiping countertops, and managing kitchen hygiene.

General Upkeep: Polishing furniture, cleaning mirrors/windows, and disposing of trash.

Optional Tasks: Running errands, grocery shopping, pet care, or assisting with basic cooking, depending on the employer’s needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience as a maid or in professional cleaning roles is often preferred.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift, bend, and move heavy items (often 35+lbs).

Attention to Detail: High standard of cleanliness and thoroughness.

Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently.

Trustworthiness: Discretion in handling private household matters.

Flexibility: Adaptability to changing routines, such as special events or visitors.
