A building electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and control equipment within residential or commercial facilities. They ensure electrical systems run safely, efficiently, and up to code by performing routine inspections and troubleshooting system failures.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation: Set up and connect electrical panels, wiring, outlets, and lighting fixtures according to blueprints and local safety codes.

• Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical systems to detect faults and prevent hazardous failures.

• Troubleshooting: Use testing tools like voltmeters and multi meters to diagnose electrical problems and make rapid, accurate repairs.

• Compliance: Adhere strictly to industry standards and local building codes to guarantee the safety of the facility and its occupants.

• Reporting: Maintain detailed records of completed maintenance, repairs, and materials used.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education/Certification: Completion of an electrical apprenticeship, vocational school training, or equivalent. Valid state or regional electrician’s license is typically required.

• Technical Skills: Ability to read complex technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.

• Physical & Environmental: Capability to stand for long periods, lift heavy equipment, and work in confined or elevated spaces.

• Duty: 8 Hours + Overtime

• Weekly one day off.

• Salary BHD130.000 + Overtime.
