Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Technician to join our rental equipment operations team. The technician will be responsible for maintenance, repair, inspection, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and components of rental equipment, including diesel generators, tower lights, air compressors, and boom trucks. The role requires technical competence, field flexibility, and strict adherence to safety and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel generators, tower lights, air compressors, and boom trucks.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, hydraulic components, and air systems.

• Conduct routine inspections and ensure equipment is in optimal working condition before and after deployment.

• Overhaul and service diesel engines (Perkins, Cummins, Volvo, etc.) and compressor systems (Atlas Copco, Doosan, etc.).

• Repair and maintain lifting systems, booms, and hydraulic mechanisms in boom trucks and manlifts.

• Carry out oil and filter changes, belt replacements, hose repairs, and other mechanical services.

• Assist in equipment testing, commissioning, and load testing at the yard and client sites.

• Accurately complete job cards, service reports, and checklists for each equipment handled.

• Recommend required spare parts and assist in maintaining stock levels of consumables.

• Support workshop cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety regulations.

• Collaborate with electrical technicians for complete servicing and troubleshooting tasks.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma / Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Diesel Mechanics, or equivalent.

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a rental or heavy equipment company.

• Proficiency in diesel engine troubleshooting, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.

• Experience with brands like Perkins, Cummins, Atlas Copco, Doosan, JLG, Genie, etc. is preferred.

• Knowledge of safety procedures, mechanical standards, and best workshop practices.

• Basic understanding of electrical systems is a plus.

• Valid driver’s license is an advantage.
