Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Workshop Supervisor – Mechanical to oversee daily workshop operations in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on experience in mechanical repairs, diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and workshop management, particularly in heavy vehicles, trucks, commercial vehicles, construction equipment, or automotive machinery.

The candidate must be technically strong in workshop mechanical activities and capable of leading technicians, ensuring quality repairs, minimizing downtime, and maintaining workshop productivity and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage daily mechanical workshop operations to ensure efficient workflow and timely job completion.

Oversee mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and breakdown services for vehicles and equipment.

Assign repair and maintenance jobs to technicians and monitor work progress.

Ensure all repair works are completed according to manufacturer standards and company quality requirements.

Diagnose complex mechanical issues related to engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, brakes, hydraulics, cooling systems, and driveline components.

Monitor workshop productivity and technician efficiency to reduce vehicle downtime.

Ensure proper usage and maintenance of workshop tools, machinery, and equipment.

Coordinate with the spare parts department for availability of required parts and materials.

Conduct final inspection and quality checks before vehicle/equipment delivery.

Maintain workshop discipline, cleanliness, safety standards, and operational procedures.

Prepare workshop reports, service schedules, maintenance logs, and job completion updates.

Support and train technicians on advanced repair methods and troubleshooting techniques.

Handle customer technical concerns and provide suitable mechanical solutions when required.

Ensure compliance with company policies, workshop SOPs, and safety regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Heavy Equipment Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Workshop Supervisor or Senior Mechanical Supervisor, preferably in Saudi Arabia or GCC.

Strong hands-on experience in mechanical workshop operations, especially in heavy trucks, commercial vehicles, construction equipment, heavy machinery, or automotive sector.

Excellent knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmission systems, suspension, brakes, electrical basics, and mechanical troubleshooting.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Ability to diagnose and solve complex workshop mechanical issues efficiently.

Experience in workshop planning, maintenance scheduling, and technician supervision.

Familiarity with workshop management systems and service documentation.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

GCC/Saudi driving license will be an added advantage.
