You must knows the following:

1) Good knowledge of mechanical systems(i.e., boilers, fountains)

2) Good knowledge of fire fighting systems

3) Good knowledge of Reverse osmosis(RO) system

4) Basic repair and troubleshooting of pumps

5) Having experience of 5yrs or more

6) Aged less than 45 yrs

A mechanical technician’s day-to-day involves a mix of planned maintenance and urgent troubleshooting.

Preventive Maintenance: Performing routine checks, cleaning, and lubrication on machines to prevent breakdowns before they occur.

System Diagnostics: Using specialized tools and technical manuals to identify the root cause of equipment failures or performance drops.

Repair and Replacement: Dismantling defective machinery, replacing worn parts (such as bearings, gears, or seals), and reassembling units to factory specifications.

Installation: Setting up new equipment, ensuring proper alignment, and calibrating systems to ensure they meet operational requirements.

Documentation: Maintaining detailed logs of repairs, part inventories, and maintenance schedules to track equipment health.

The Nature of the Work

Industrial Environment: Much of the work happens on a factory floor or in a plant. It can be noisy and may involve exposure to oils, chemicals, and heavy machinery.

Safety First: Because the work involves high-pressure systems and moving parts, adhering to strict safety protocols (like Lockout/Tagout) is the most critical part of the job.

Collaboration: You rarely work in a vacuum. Technicians often coordinate with mechanical engineers to improve designs and with operators to understand how machines are behaving during production.
