Position: Welding Engineer (IWE Certified)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Welding Engineer with IWE certification and solid hands-on welding
experience for an immediate role in Saudi Arabia. The candidate will be responsible for
developing welding documentation, coordinating qualifications, and ensuring adherence to
client and international standards — especially within oil & gas and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and issue preliminary welding documents for assigned projects and bids
• Review client specifications and project scopes to assess metallurgy and develop
• detailed welding procedures to ensure productivity and quality
• Coordinate and schedule personnel and systems for welder and welding procedure
• qualifications
• Review technical journals and publications to stay updated on welding technology
• Maintain contact with welding equipment and consumables suppliers to stay informed
• on new developments
• Liaise closely with the production team, including welding supervisors and operatives,
• to optimize methods and resolve welding-related issues
• Conduct contract technical reviews to ensure compliance with project welding
• requirements
• Prepare and issue full welding documentation, including:
o Welding Books
o WPSs (Welding Procedure Specifications)
o WPQRs (Welder Procedure Qualification Records)
o PTW Reports (Permit to Work)
o Procedures and other technical documents
• Evaluate and estimate the type and quantity of welding consumables required
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• IWE Certification or equivalent is mandatory
• Prior Aramco project experience is preferred
• Strong understanding of:
o Engineering design criteria and discipline-specific workflows from concept to
execution
o International welding standards, codes, and regulations
o Principles of metallurgy and materials science
