The duties of this job will be considered to be as follows, but not limited to, during any one term of employment with the company.

QHSES

Health, Safety, Security and Environmental requirements shall be met in all activities. Serimax is responsible for providing a safe and healthy working environment for its employees, contractors and visitors. You are responsible for ensuring that you are working safely, that you have the appropriate tools and equipment for the job, and that you protect the environment and fellow employees. You shall take this responsibility seriously and work towards continual improvement.

To have open, unthreatening, respectful, behavioral based discussions with operational employees on a regular basis through Safety Visits, or other approved behavioral based safety conversation system, in order to correct unsafe behavior, and to positively reinforce good safety behavior.

The Project Engineer must:

1.

Exercise strong HSES leadership at all times.

2.

Hold regular audits on the work habits of people working on your projects to correct unsafe behaviors and reinforce safe behaviors.

3.

Ensure that all personnel working in the workshop or on site within your projects wear the correct personal safety clothing and are informed about all operational safety requirements, and that they correct unsafe behaviors and reinforce safe behaviors.

4.

Encourage people working on your projects to report HSES hazards and follow up on these reports.

5.

Advise personnel working within your projects of any hazard or potential hazards that you are aware of and reduce or eliminate them.

6.

Ensure that all personnel under your control within your projects are fully trained and understand the tasks they are asked to perform, and that they are aware of all risks.

7.

Participate to any necessary investigation of any incidents or near misses within your projects and ensure that steps are taken to prevent recurrence.

8.

Make sure regular safety meetings are held with those you supervise and keep records of these meetings.

9.

Inspect regularly the physical condition of your work areas and ensure required necessary controls are in place.

10.

Ensure that all subcontractors working on your project are supervised and monitored for compliance with the Serimax HSES policy and applicable HSES legislation.

11.

Set clear objectives and targets in relation to our HSES activities (number of Safety Visits, EAR Cards, etc…).

12.

Ensure the appropriate Risk Assessments applicable for subcontractors and Method Statements for operations at Serimax and client premises are carried out.

13.

Liaise with your management to ensure safe, quality and efficient working practices.

15.

Ensure that all operational procedures and work instructions in respect of work operations comply with approved Serimax operational procedures.

16.

Be familiar with all aspects of the Integrated Management System Manual (Manuel du Système de Management Intégré) and Group HSE and Quality Policy Statements, including revisions that are implemented. Ensure that the requirements of both documents, including continuous improvement, are implemented.

17.

Raise non-conformances, in conjunction with the QA / QC Manager, HSES Officer and liaise with the Quality and HSES departments in order to improve the working methods.

Project Management activities

A

– Execution of the project package

•

Assist the Commercial & Legal Departments during contractual discussions with the Client, and if required, propose the wording related to the technical / scope of work part of the Contract.

•

Execute the project package under supervision and approbation of the Projects & Operations Manager (and/or the Project Manager), and respect quality and timing required as per contract.

•

Monitoring and Controlling of all phases of the capital project package lifecycle. This encompasses the resources, procedures, planning, estimating, cost and schedule management, risk management, change management, progressing, and forecasting.

•

Manage the relationship with the client under supervision and approbation of the Projects & Operations Manager (and/or the Project Manager) to ensure that all aspects of the contract are respected for the project.

•

When required, prepare or review contracts with Sub-contractors with the assistance of the Legal Department.

•

Manage and challenge the performance of Sub-contractors under supervision and approbation of the Projects & Operations Manager (and/or the Project Manager).

•

Propose and respond to client requests for additional work and ensure that the relevant steps of the applicable internal procedures are followed to be sure that any variation orders are feasible and achievable on time and within budget.

•

Direct and manage all/a part of the activities of the project team and on-site personnel under supervision and approbation of the Projects & Operations Manager (and/or the Project Manager), ensuring that staff is qualified and competent, properly coached, given the opportunity to develop and continually motivated to handle the demands of their jobs and achieve their objectives. Ensure operational excellence.

•

Apply and respect regional project procedures, QA / QC plan and procedures. Support QA / QC / HSES and competitiveness improvements.

•

Liaise, in accordance with the Projects & Operations Manager, with all the support functions throughout the project to ensure they have all the relevant information to be able to provide full and timely support.

•

Issue, update and communicate the project/project package schedule internally and to clients.

•

Mobilize and manage equipment and personnel resource on the project/Project Package.

•

Support projects and operations conducting and planning regular visits (and as required) to the project(s) site(s).

•

Conduct regular interaction with client(s) on site and control offices to gain feedback and to ascertain ways to improve services.

•

Emergency and needed actions may be required on some occasions, although such are not routine and will be avoided as possible.

•

Company phone is intended to ensure attentions to company requirements and hence needs to be monitored accordingly.

•

Other related responsibilities may not be listed above and may be requested by management.

– Optimize cash collection

•

Ensure that invoices related to the project/Project Package are issued according to contractual payment milestones and paid in due time, and implement indicator tool to measure performance of invoicing process.

•

Implement when required Letter of Credit and ensure efficient execution.

•

Implement Cash Flow follow-up tools in order to optimise project cash flow.

C

– Feedback analysis

•

Organize (or Support) the feedback on the project(package) to the Project Manager / Projects & Operations Manager and other relevant functional managers. This includes the completion of all the necessary reporting at regional and group levels.

•

Implement and update on a regular basis, Project financial follow-up tools (CEP, VOR, Client & Subcontractors invoicing,…).

•

Hold (or support) project review with the management and build up/participate in the building of project costs per tasks and estimate project revenues (CEP N). Monitor the project costs, progress and revenues to ensure the profitability of the overall project and the reduction or elimination of variable costs.

•

Follow PR / PO process within ERP tool (IFS).

•

Record costs associated to NCRs in ERP tool (IFS).

•

Build up KPI with the Projects & Operations Manager (and/or the Project Manager) for the project and make them approved by the Project Department Director.

•

Support any task as required to improve the efficiency of the project management (procedure and method statement review, etc…).

•

Ensure that Project Close-out process is completed in a timely manner.
