Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled SolidWorks Professional responsible for creating detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings to support product development and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure accurate designs that meet project requirements, timelines, and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Modeling

• Develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.

• Create design concepts, prototypes, and engineering layouts.

• Prepare exploded views, bill of materials (BOM), and technical drawings.

• Modify and update existing designs to improve performance or manufacturability.

Engineering Support

• Collaborate with mechanical, production, and R&D teams to translate requirements into functional designs.

• Provide technical input during design reviews and suggest improvements.

• Validate designs through simulation tools (FEA, motion analysis, etc.) when required.

Documentation & Standards

• Ensure all designs comply with engineering standards, GD&T practices, and company guidelines.

• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, revision histories, and design files.

• Support preparation of manuals, assembly instructions, and product specifications.

Manufacturing & Production Interface

• Work closely with CNC, fabrication, and assembly teams to ensure manufacturability.

• Provide clarifications on drawings and support troubleshooting issues on the shop floor.

• Optimize designs for cost efficiency, durability, and ease of manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.

• Proven hands-on experience with SolidWorks (Parts, Assemblies, Drawings, Sheet Metal, Weldments).

• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T standards.

• Experience with PDM systems is an advantage.
