Job Summary:

The Tyre Technician is responsible for fitting, balancing, rotating, and repairing tyres, as well as assisting with basic wheel alignment. This role requires good technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to use tyre service equipment. The technician also provides friendly, professional customer service by explaining services and offering recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

Tyre Fitting and Balancing:

• Mount and balance tyres on vehicles of various sizes and types.

• Use wheel balancing machines to ensure smooth and safe operation.

• Check and adjust tyre pressure to manufacturer’s specifications.

Tyre Rotation:

• Rotate tyres to promote even wear and extend tyre life.

• Follow recommended rotation patterns.

Tyre Repair:

• Repair punctures and other minor tyre damage.

• Inspect tyres for wear and tear and advise customers on replacement needs.

• Wheel Alignment:

• Check and adjust wheel alignment to improve vehicle handling and tyre life.

• Use wheel alignment equipment to measure and adjust camber, caster, and toe angle

• Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

• Explain tyre services and provide recommendations.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of vehicle suspension systems and wheel alignment principles.

• Proficiency in using wheel alignment equipment.

• Maximum of 2 years of experience as a tyre technician is preferred.
