Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor Job description:
Overview:
– The Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of facility maintenance and repair activities. This role requires strong organizational, leadership, and technical skills to ensure the efficient and effective upkeep of all facilities and equipment. The supervisor will lead a team of maintenance technicians to maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment.

Responsibilities:
Supervisory Duties:
– Recruit, hire, and train maintenance staff.
– Assign tasks and schedules to ensure efficient workflow.
– Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback and coaching.
– Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts.
Facility Maintenance:
– Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for all facility systems and equipment.
– Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
– Coordinate and oversee repairs and renovations, including scheduling contractors as needed.
– Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
– Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Budget Management:
– Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
– Prepare and submit regular reports on maintenance activities and expenditures.
Emergency Response:
– Develop and implement emergency response plans for facility-related incidents.
– Respond promptly to emergencies and coordinate with appropriate personnel.
– Oversee the restoration of facilities after emergencies.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree or certification in facilities management or related field preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, including supervisory experience
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
• Proficiency in maintenance software and tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
