Purpose of the Role:

To carry out maintenance, repair, testing, and installation of pumps and related rotating equipment, ensuring reliability, safety, and performance in workshop and field environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repair

o Disassemble, inspect, and repair centrifugal, reciprocating, and other types of pumps.

o Diagnose mechanical faults and replace worn or damaged parts (seals, bearings, shafts, impellers, etc.).

o Perform alignment, balancing, and assembly of pump units.

• Testing & Quality

o Conduct hydrostatic, performance, and pressure testing as per standards.

o Record test results and ensure compliance with client specifications.

o Maintain quality control procedures and workshop safety practices.

• Installation & Commissioning

o Support on-site installation and commissioning of pumps and auxiliaries.

o Ensure correct alignment and coupling with drivers (motors, engines, turbines).

o Provide technical assistance to clients during installation and start-up.

• Documentation & Reporting

o Complete service reports, job cards, and maintenance records.

o Provide feedback on recurring faults and suggest preventive measures.

o Maintain proper documentation for spare parts and repairs.

Skills & Qualifications

• Technical diploma / ITI certificate in Mechanical or related trade.

• 3–5 years’ hands-on experience in pump repair and maintenance (workshop or site).

• Knowledge of different pump types (centrifugal, positive displacement, submersible, API pumps, etc.).

• Familiarity with alignment tools, measuring instruments, and workshop machinery.

• Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical manuals.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
