Position Summary:

The Production Operator (Filling Line) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of automated and semi-automated filling, capping, and labeling equipment used to package liquid detergent & cosmetics products. This role ensures products meet quality standards, production schedules are maintained, and all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations are strictly followed. The individual will be responsible for the operations activities on shop floor comprising of operating machines and performing end-of-line activities while ensuring complete compliance to Standard Operating Procedures, policies and objectives of the company, working on hours and rotating as per shift schedule and delivering maximum production with quality and safety.

Work Experience:

Experience: 3-4 years of experience in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or large-scale batch processing/blending environment (FMCG) is highly preferred.

Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills. Experience with PLC-controlled machinery is highly desirable.

Soft Skills:

Attention to Detail: Critical for quality checks (fill volume, label accuracy).

Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with maintenance, quality control, and fellow production staff.

Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for long periods, lifting moderately heavy materials, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Safety Focus: Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols, particularly regarding chemical handling and processing equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Machine Operation and Monitoring:

Set up, start, operate, and shut down automated filling machines, cappers, labelers, and carton/case packing equipment.

Continuously monitor machine performance, fluid levels, and product flow to ensure consistent operation.

Adjust machine parameters (e.g., speed, fill volume, torque) as required to maintain product specifications and optimize line efficiency.

Quality Control and Compliance:

Conduct regular in-process quality checks, including fill weight/volume checks, label placement verification, and seal integrity tests.

Identify and isolate any non-conforming product and report quality deviations immediately.

Complete all relevant production records, quality logs, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Ensure compliance with all National Health Regulatory Authority Bahrain (NHRA) or equivalent regulatory standards for packaging and labeling.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Perform basic preventive maintenance (e.g., lubrication, cleaning, minor adjustments) on assigned equipment.

Rapidly identify, diagnose, and resolve minor mechanical or operational faults and stoppages on the line.

Escalate complex or major equipment breakdowns to the Maintenance department and assist technicians as needed.

Safety and Hygiene:

Strictly adhere to all company HSE policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance and cleaning.

Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work area in accordance with 5S methodology and GMP.

Handle hazardous materials (e.g., concentrated cleaning agents) safely and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The role operates within a large-scale chemical processing plant.

The environment can involve exposure to various chemicals, odors, heat, and noise.

Requires flexible scheduling, as production demands may necessitate working various shifts (days/nights), weekends, and overtime.
