Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 FO) Developer

Senior Developer (5+ Years Experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in X++ development, customizations, extensions, integrations, and technical support across the D365 FO ecosystem, with good experience with Microsoft Power Platform ( BI, Apps, Automate). This role involves working closely with functional consultants and other developers to deliver high-quality ERP solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Development & Customization

– Design, develop, and maintain customizations and extensions using X++ and Visual Studio.

– Implement enhancements using the Extension Model and event handlers in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 FO).

– Create and maintain custom tables, forms, reports, classes, and data entities.

-Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.

– Build and maintain the MD365 Mobile application via Power Apps.

Integrations & Data

– Develop and support integrations with external systems using OData, REST/SOAP APIs, DMF, and Azure Logic Apps.

– Build and maintain data entities for import/export processes.

– Assist in deployment of customizations and packages across environments (Dev, UAT, Prod).

Support & Documentation

– Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in D365 FO and related custom solutions.

– Create technical documentation, including design specs, deployment guides, and support runbooks.

Required Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

– 5+ years of experience in X++ development for MD365 FO.

– Proven experience with extension-based customization approach in D365 FO.

– Experience with Data Management Framework (DMF) and data migration projects.

– Familiarity with Azure DevOps, LCS, and Visual Studio tooling.

– Knowledge of Power Platform, Power BI, or Power Automate integrations.

– Good knowledge of batch jobs, workflow extensions, and security customization.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Microsoft certification: MB-500: Microsoft Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Developer.

– Understanding of Finance, Supply Chain, or Project Management modules is a plus.

– Experience with performance tuning and SQL Server debugging.
