Job Description – QA/QC Electrical Inspector

Location : Qiddiya, Riyadh

Availability : Immediately

Nationality : Indian Only

Role and Responsibilities:

The QA/QC Electrical Inspector is responsible for implementing and monitoring quality assurance and control activities related to all electrical works on the project, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), method statements, and material submittals for electrical works.

• Conduct inspections of electrical installations including MV/LV systems, transformers, switchgear, panel boards, cabling, grounding/earthing, and lighting systems in coordination with site execution teams.

• Monitor and record quality of works against approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.

• Raise, follow up, and close NCRs, CARs, and site observations in coordination with the QA/QC Manager.

• Verify calibration and validity of testing/measuring instruments used in inspections.

• Ensure contractor/subcontractor works are executed in compliance with approved procedures and standards.

• Prepare daily and weekly inspection reports, checklists, and quality records for submission to the client/consultant.

• Participate in internal/external audits and provide support in the close-out of audit findings.

• Ensure compliance with project quality plans, ISO standards, and relevant codes (IEC, IEEE, NEC, BS).

• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and third-party testing agencies for inspections and approvals.

• Monitor testing and commissioning of electrical systems including continuity, insulation resistance, high-voltage tests, and functional tests.

• Support the QA/QC Manager in implementing corrective and preventive measures to improve site quality.

• Provide training and guidance to site teams on electrical QA/QC procedures and inspection requirements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

2. Minimum 7-8 years of experience in QA/QC for electrical works in construction/infrastructure projects.

3. Strong knowledge of international standards and codes (IEC, IEEE, NEC, BS, ISO).

4. Certification in QA/QC, Electrical Testing, or related quality systems (ISO 9001) preferred.

Preferred Skills

1. Hands-on experience in inspection of MV/LV systems, panel boards, transformers, cabling, grounding/earthing, and lighting.

2. Familiarity with electrical system testing, commissioning, and quality documentation.

3. Strong report-writing and communication skills for interaction with clients and consultants.

4. Competency in using QA/QC software/EDMS (Aconex, etc.) for inspection tracking and reporting.

5. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple inspections simultaneously.
