Job Description – Electrician (Facility Management)

Position: Electrician

Experience Required: Minimum 4 years

Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Responsibilities:

Carry out electrical maintenance, installation, and repair works in facility management projects (residential, commercial, or industrial).

Handle day-to-day operations of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, panels, and switchgears.

Conduct routine preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Troubleshoot electrical faults in HVAC systems, pumps, elevators, and other facility equipment.

Perform regular inspection of electrical components and record findings in maintenance logs.

Ensure adherence to local authority regulations, safety protocols, and energy efficiency practices.

Provide support during emergency breakdowns and coordinate with supervisors/engineers for corrective actions.

Assist in planning and execution of electrical upgrades, retrofitting, and energy-saving initiatives.

Requirements:

Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Minimum 4 years of proven experience in electrical maintenance within a facility management environment.

Hands-on knowledge of electrical distribution systems, control panels, and emergency backup systems (UPS, generators).

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics.

Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) and facility-related electrical works is an added advantage.

Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulatory compliance.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred:

Prior experience in large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial facility management projects.
