Job Title: Procurement Manager

Department: Procurement & Supply Chain

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for heavy vehicles, equipment acquisition, parts and rental support, considering cost optimisation, quality, lead-time, risk management and total cost of ownership.

• Source, evaluate and select suppliers of heavy vehicles, trailers, low-bed/flatbed services, parts, consumables, equipment rental and logistics services consistent with Company’s business units.

• Negotiate contracts, terms, pricing, payment terms, delivery, warranties and service levels, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives.

• Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle: requirement gathering, RFQs, supplier selection, PO issuance, supplier performance monitoring, invoice reconciliation and supplier relationship management.

• Collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, logistics, fleet management and finance teams to understand their needs, forecast procurement requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

• Maintain and update the supplier database, ensure supplier qualification (including safety, quality, sustainability credentials), monitor supplier KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, quality defects, cost savings) and drive continuous improvement.

• Monitor market trends, supplier landscape (local, regional, global), alternative sourcing opportunities and risks (e.g., currency, logistics, supply chain disruption) and propose mitigation strategies.

• Ensure compliance with relevant internal policies (procurement governance, ethics, contracts) and external regulations (import/export, customs, safety standards).

• Drive cost-savings initiatives, benchmarking and value engineering with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Prepare and present regular procurement reports and metrics to senior management: spend analysis, savings achieved, supplier performance, risk assessments, future pipeline.

• Participate in cross-functional projects (fleet expansion, equipment upgrades, new business lines) to provide procurement input and sourcing support.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.

• Minimum of 8-10 years’ procurement experience, preferably in heavy vehicles, heavy equipment rental, logistics or industrial services environment. At least 3-5 years in a leadership / managerial role.

• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, supplier management, sourcing strategies and spend analysis.

• Proven experience in sourcing heavy vehicles/trailers/equipment, parts, rental services, logistics services or similar asset-intensive procurement.

• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills. Comfortable working with senior internal stakeholders (operations, finance, maintenance) and external vendors.

• Strong analytical and reporting skills – able to interpret spend data, supplier performance metrics and market intelligence to drive decision-making.

• Familiarity with Saudi market and regional supplier landscape is an advantage. Knowledge of import/export, customs, local regulations helpful.

• High levels of integrity, ethics and compliance orientation, with strong vendor-due diligence capabilities.

• Proficient in procurement/supply-chain software/tools (e.g., ERP modules, spend analytics) and MS Office suite.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced business with multiple services lines (equipment rental, logistics, manufacturing) and cross-functional collaboration.
